IKC is considered an addition to the Dar el Tarbiah establishment founded in 1958 by Dr Nawal El Degwi, who is considered one of the most iconic figures in the educational field.

In 2009/ 2010 Dar Eltarbiah hosted Gabria Abeles-Allison and Carrie Eliza Costellow ,they spent one academic year.Where they gain a lot of experience. One year later Carrie came back to Egypt as a student in AUC ,she studied Arabic and oriental studies.In an official visit , the deputy of foreign affairs minister , Hellary Clinton , came to Dar ElTarbiah, and met the girls and the faculty members.
